From October 23–27, 2023, the USAID Partnership for Higher Education Reform hosted an intensive Capacity Development Program (CDP) at Indiana University (IU) in the United States. Twenty-nine Vietnamese university leaders and senior administrators from Vietnam National University – Hanoi, the University of Danang and Viet Nam National University – Ho Chi Minh City worked closely with seasoned IU experts to share knowledge about innovations in higher education at IU and how these can serve as examples and inspiration for reform of higher education institutions in Vietnam.
The October 2023 cohort represents the last of five such groups hosted in Bloomington, Indiana since 2022. Upon return to Vietnam, participants are expected to reflect and apply their learning to reform efforts at their home institutions.
