Approval of the dossier “Planning of Binh Phuoc province in the period of 2020-2030, vision to 2050”

(CTTĐTBP) – The National Master Plan Appraisal Council for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 (the Council) has just appraised and voted to approve the dossier “Planning of Binh Phuoc province period 2020-2030, with a vision to 2050” with the condition that the research, absorb, supplement and complete the comments of Council members and reviewers.

The appraisal meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Vice Chairman of the Council Tran Quoc Phuong.

On the side of Binh Phuoc province, attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong – Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Tue Hien – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, agencies, and sectors.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong, on behalf of the Council, highly appreciated the attention, leadership, and direction of Binh Phuoc province in the process of formulating and completing the planning. The Deputy Minister emphasized: That provincial planning is the first planning that has been made and is a very new, very difficult, very important, and very urgent task. Therefore, in order for Binh Phuoc province to complete the planning in accordance with the provisions of the planning law, the Deputy Minister suggested that Council members and experts participate in giving opinions, focusing on exchanging and clarifying a number of contents. Argumentative content on the feasibility of the selected development scenario; motivations, breakthroughs, and contributions of each sector in the GRDP; considering the selection of growth and development pillars, priority sectors for development in the planning period, especially key and breakthrough tasks.

After receiving the approval of the planning document from the Appraisal Council, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong affirmed: When the Prime Minister approves the official planning, this will be an important milestone to help Binh Phuoc Province take the initiative in planning to create the future, develop in a breakthrough, sustainable and innovative way. The Deputy Minister believes that Binh Phuoc will turn “potential” into “dynamism” and higher into “resource” and “motivation” for development. From there, arrange the space for the province’s socio-economic development in a reasonable way to develop quickly and sustainably in the coming time.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong speaks at the meeting

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong said after 25 years of construction, development, integration, and aspiration to rise, Binh Phuoc had achieved many significant, comprehensive achievements at the first step in the reform process. The province’s appearance and economic potential have changed significantly, gradually affirming its position in the Southeast region, making an essential contribution to the operation of industrialization and modernization of the country, and international integration.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Tue Hien said: After this meeting, Binh Phuoc province will urgently direct relevant units to research and absorb to complete the planning document to the highest quality and most scientific before submitting it to the Prime Minister for approval

The draft planning of Binh Phuoc province for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, sets out development orientations including three critical economic sectors (industry, agriculture, commerce – services), three breakthroughs (infrastructure development, human resources, administrative procedure reform), three dynamic zones, three development axes and one safety belt, four urban centers, six critical tasks.

The draft master plan sets out the goal of striving: By 2025, to become a fast-growing, sustainable industrial province with a decent economic scale based on synchronously constructing a “hard and soft” infrastructure foundation. Develop clusters of industries with the potential to create many jobs, income and budget revenue. Improve people’s quality of life, and narrow the gap between rural areas, ethnic minority areas, remote areas, border areas, and urban areas. Enhanced regional connectivity; complete e-government, gradually transitioning to digital government. By 2030, to become a modern industrial province, an “attractive destination,” one of the driving forces of the Southeast region’s development, and by 2050 become a rich, strong, and civilized developed province.
