INTRODUCTION
Institute for Vietnam Initiatives (IVI) is a not-for-profit research institute committed to connecting global knowledge and expertise for Vietnam’s development. Since its establishment in 2019, IVI has collaborated with 20+ partners, completed 10+ projects with an accumulated budget of 10.000.000+ USD.
IVI connects with leading experts, professionals and research institutes all around the world in the domains of economics, finance, public governance, education & training. IVI also collaborates with experts from international institutions to carry out policy research, analysis, and advisory.
Research institutes (Indiana University, Vietnam National University, etc.), Vietnam state agencies (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Government Office, People’s Committees of provinces/cities, etc.), international development organizations (USAID, DFAT, World Bank, etc.) are among IVI’s key partners.
Dr. Dang Duc Dam is a top-notch economist in Vietnam. He was the former Deputy Manager of Research Division for the Prime Minister, Vice President of Central Institute for Economic Management.

Ms. Lien Pham has ten years of experience in managing projects ranging from policy advocacy, business development services, capacity building, microfinance, and value chain development.
She was the project manager of Sang Kien Viet Nam’s USAID Vietnam Leads, Patient Satisfaction Index, and Government Dashboard projects. She also participated in technical assistance to the Government Reporting Information System, Ministry of Education and Training. Ms. Lien Pham got an MBA from the Kelley School
Phu has over 7 years of experience coordinating and managing development and research projects at Action on Poverty, Luxembourg Organization for Cooperation and Development, and Care organizations. Phu joined SKVN to coordinate the Binh Phuoc Province Planning Consulting project. Phu’s participation will be essential to further promote research and consulting work.

Ms. Thanh Ha has a Master’s degree in Economic Management and 20 years of experience as Chief Accountant of the Trust Fund for Forest cum Chief Accountant of the Forest Sector Support Program Coordination Office, Coordinator of IPFES Project Management of the National Forest Network, Financial Compliance Manager (External) at ActionAid organization and some other units.

Ms. Bui Thi Thanh Huyen graduated from the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture with a degree in Accounting, has been working at the Institute of Vietnam Initiatives since August 2019.
Ms. Thanh Huyen has approximately ten years of experience working as a general accountant, internal audit officer, and financial officer for NGOs (CARES, SCDI) and representative offices (GPA) in Vietnam, executing projects in education, agriculture, and community development.
Huong Thi Lan Nguyen received her Advanced Master of Governance and Development in Antwerp University, Belgium. She has over 18 years working in the education field and over 10 years of experience working at Higher Education sector by coordinating and managing development projects in international organizations. She also has strong experience in managing the project with 14 Teacher Training Universities in Vietnam-Belgium bilateral project; managing the project with 14 Universities in Vietnam under ENABEL organization with a focus on capacity development for leaders and managers on Governance, Research, Curriculum development and Teaching innovation.
Dr. Phuong To Tam has nearly 30 years of experience working in Higher education as a lecturer, researcher, and project coordinator at Foreign Trade University, Hanoi. Her expertise includes faculty development, professional identity development for faculty, human resource development, and institutional development in higher education. She received Ph.D. in Educational Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University, USA. She also designed and supported training programs on effective teaching pedagogies in the Center for Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M University.
Huong graduated with a major in Development Economics from National Economics University (NEU) and soon started working on community development projects aimed at supporting disadvantaged people in regions of Vietnam. She is currently enrolled in NEU’s Vietnam-Netherlands Master’s Program. Huong is known for her work in the livelihoods, financial education, and microfinance fields as a senior program officer, projects manager, consultant, or an experienced trainer.
Dr. Hieu Ha has 9-year experience of teaching and doing research at the University of Transport and Communications (UTC). He received a PhD degree in Transport Construction Engineering in Taiwan in 2020 . He also has 2 years working as a coordinator and manager of both science – technology and internationally cooperative projects at UTC.
Lan graduated Hanoi University, English Department in 2000. She served in an American Catholic NGO named Maryknoll Foundation for 8 years as Project Assistant. She had a chance to work with vulnerable groups, support them in some development program such as vocational training for the disabilities, cow bank for the youth,…
Mr Nguyen Vuong earned his MA in Education and Development at University of East Anglia under the Chevening Scholarship Program of the UK Government. Before joining PHER in December 2022, Nguyen worked in multiple roles at the British Council in Vietnam and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCMC).

Ms. Do Thi Hong Phuong graduated from the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University in 2022. Since June 2022, Phuong has worked on the PHER project as a collaborator. In January 2023, Phuong officially started working at the Vietnam Initiative Institute and the PHER project as an administrative officer-interpreter, performing office administrative tasks and translating-interpreting.
